Our services

Three paths of care, each suited to a different need

Every watch is different. So is every owner's relationship to it. We offer three distinct services that reflect the range of situations a watch and its owner might be in.

Our methodology

How we approach every service

Regardless of which service applies, the underlying approach is consistent: look carefully, communicate clearly, work methodically, and don't proceed further than what's needed and agreed.

Examine

We begin with a careful examination — understanding the watch's history, current condition, and what the owner wants from the service.

Discuss

Before any work begins, we share our findings and recommendations. A written quote is provided. You decide what happens next.

Work

Work is carried out with professional tools and techniques, tested against measurable standards, and documented where relevant.

Quick Assessment and Care
Service 1

Quick Assessment & Care

A short, focused visit where the watchmaker evaluates the watch's overall health and performs basic maintenance. Includes accuracy testing, battery replacement for quartz models, crown and pusher function check, gasket evaluation, and case back resealing. The owner receives a verbal summary of the watch's condition along with suggestions for any future service that might be worth considering.

A relaxed entry point for anyone who simply wants to know how their watch is doing. Often the first visit for clients who haven't had the watch looked at in several years and aren't sure what to expect.

What's included

  • Accuracy and rate testing on timing machine
  • Battery replacement for quartz movements
  • Crown, pusher, and winding function check
  • Gasket inspection and case back resealing
  • External case and bracelet cleaning
  • Verbal condition report with future recommendations

Process

1

Watch received, photographed, and logged. Initial conversation about the watch's history and the owner's concerns.

2

External examination and timing machine test. Battery check or replacement if applicable. Gasket evaluation.

3

Collection by owner with a verbal summary of findings and any suggestions for future consideration. No commitment implied.

Service 2

Deep Movement Care

An attentive full-service for the watch movement and case. The caliber is disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt with fresh lubricants. Worn components — including mainspring, click, and setting mechanism parts — are replaced as needed. The balance is regulated for consistent amplitude and beat error.

The case is cleaned, scratches are reduced through light refinishing, and new sealing gaskets are fitted. Water resistance is confirmed. Suited for watches that have been worn regularly over a period of years and are due for comprehensive attention.

What's included

  • Full movement disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning
  • Component inspection under magnification
  • Worn part replacement (mainspring, click, setting parts)
  • Rebuild with grade-appropriate lubricants
  • Balance regulation — amplitude and beat error
  • Case cleaning, light refinishing, new gaskets
  • Pressure test for water resistance
  • 12-month service warranty

Process

1

Intake, photography, and condition notes. Written quote provided before work begins.

2

Movement disassembly, cleaning, and component assessment. Owner notified of any additional parts required.

3

Rebuild, lubrication, regulation, case work, and water resistance testing. Timing results provided on collection.

Deep Movement Care
Archival Restoration
Service 3

Archival Restoration

A patient, consultative process for watches that warrant a deeply considered approach to their care. The watchmaker begins with a condition assessment and an open conversation about the owner's priorities — whether to prioritise originality, functionality, or cosmetic improvement.

Work may include movement overhaul, dial cleaning or stabilisation, hand replacement with correct-era parts, crown and tube fitting, case reshaping, and bracelet refurbishment. Every step is documented and shared with the owner. Suitable for inherited pieces, rare models, and watches with significant personal stories.

What's potentially included

  • Comprehensive condition assessment and consultation
  • Full movement overhaul
  • Dial cleaning or stabilisation
  • Correct-era hand and crown sourcing and fitting
  • Case reshaping and bracelet refurbishment
  • Step-by-step documentation for the owner
  • 12-month service warranty on completed work

The scope of each archival restoration is agreed upon with the owner before work begins. The price of MYR 7,600 is a starting point — actual cost depends on the work agreed upon. We'll provide a detailed estimate after the initial consultation.

Inherited pieces, rare references, or watches with sentimental value that deserve a considered, documented approach.

Standards that apply to all services

Secure Watch Storage

Every watch is photographed, logged, and held securely in the workshop for the duration of the service.

No Surprise Costs

If additional work is discovered, we inform you before proceeding. No charges are added without your agreement.

Grade-Appropriate Lubricants

Lubrication is applied by hand, using manufacturer-specified grades for each component type and movement caliber.

Measurable Outcomes

Rate accuracy and amplitude results are measured and recorded. You can see the numbers — not just take our word for it.

One Watchmaker's Hands

All technical work is performed by our lead watchmaker. Your watch isn't passed between multiple technicians.

Return in Good Condition

If you decline further work after an assessment, the watch is returned exactly as received — cleaned, closed, and with our notes on its condition.
